Type the size your form asks for and every photo comes out just under it. It runs in your browser, so your files are never uploaded, and it is free with no sign-up or watermark.

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF · many at once

Files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

Each image ends up just under 100 KB, keeping as much quality as fits. If it can't fit at full size, it is made smaller too.

How to reduce image size in KB

Quick answer: To reduce image size in KB, type your limit, add your images, press Compress and download.

  1. Type your limit. Enter the maximum size in KB, for example 30 or 150. For megabytes, type 1000 per MB.
  2. Add your images. Drag them onto the box or click to choose. Many at once is fine.
  3. Press Compress. Each image is saved just under your limit at the best quality that fits.
  4. Download. Save them one by one or as a zip.

Why not just lower the quality?

Guessing a quality setting takes many tries. This tool searches for you: it finds the highest quality under your limit in a few seconds and only shrinks the picture if it must.

KB vs KiB

Some sites count 1 KB as 1,000 bytes, others as 1,024. The tool uses 1,000, so the result passes either check.

Frequently asked questions

What is the smallest size I can get?

Down to about 5 KB. Very small targets make the photo small in pixels too, so they suit signatures and thumbnails.

Which format should I pick?

JPG is accepted everywhere. WebP looks better at the same size but some forms don't accept it. PNG is only for forms that require it.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, and the photos never leave your device.
