About Browser Tools

Fast, private tools for everyday jobs, without sign-ups or uploads.

Why this site exists

Most free online tools make you upload your file to their server, wait in a queue, and then add a watermark or ask you to sign up. That's slow, and it means strangers handle your contracts, ID photos and bank statements.

Browser Tools does the work in your own browser instead. Compressing a photo, merging PDFs, making an invoice or working out a loan happens on your device, so it's instant and private, and it keeps working even if your connection drops after the page has loaded.

What you'll find here

How we keep it accurate

Calculators use standard published formulas (for example Mifflin-St Jeor for calories, the US Navy method for body fat and the standard amortization formula for loans), and every tool is tested automatically in a real browser before each release. Results are estimates for planning, not financial, medical, tax or legal advice.

Read the privacy policy for exactly what is and isn't stored.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Every tool is free with no account, watermark or daily limit, except Text to Speech, which has a free daily allowance because each voice costs us money to make.

How can it work without uploading my files?

Your browser is a powerful computer. The tools use open-source engines (FFmpeg for video, pdf.js and pdf-lib for PDFs, your browser's own image codecs) that run inside the page, on your device.

How is the site paid for?

Running tools in your browser costs us almost nothing. The site may show ads in the future, and some advanced AI features may become part of an optional paid plan.

Can I use the results commercially?

Yes. Files, invoices, barcodes and QR codes you make are yours to use for anything.
