How to convert HEIC to JPG

  1. Add your photos. Drag one or more .heic or .heif files onto the box above, or click it to choose them from your computer or phone. You can add a whole batch at once.
  2. Pick a quality. The slider sets the JPG quality. 90 is a good default: the result looks the same as the original. Lower it if you need smaller files for email or an upload form.
  3. Click Convert to JPG. Photos are converted one after another, and a progress bar shows how far along you are. A typical 12-megapixel iPhone photo takes about three seconds.
  4. Download. Save each photo with its Download button, or use Download all to save the whole batch.

Why convert HEIC to JPG?

Since iOS 11, iPhones save photos as HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container), which takes about half the space of a JPG at the same quality. The catch is compatibility: many websites, office apps and older Windows PCs can't open HEIC files. JPG works everywhere, from email and Word to online forms and photo printing services.

Will my photos lose quality?

Not visibly at the default setting. JPG files are larger than HEIC for the same detail, so expect the converted photo to be somewhat bigger than the original. That is normal and nothing is lost.

Is it safe?

Yes. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so your photos are never sent to a server and nobody else can see them. Because there is no upload step, large batches won't eat into your data plan either.
