Open the free HEIC to PDFiPhone photos into one PDF. Runs in your browser.

To turn iPhone photos into a PDF, open HEIC to PDF, drop the .heic photos onto the box, order them with the arrows, pick A4, Letter or Same as photo, and press Make PDF. Each photo becomes one page. It works in a browser on Windows, Mac, Android or the iPhone itself, and the photos are never uploaded.

Why convert iPhone photos to PDF?

iPhones save photos as HEIC to save space. That's fine on Apple devices, but PDFs are what offices, banks and online forms expect. Converting to PDF is the quickest way to:

  • Send photographed receipts for expenses
  • Submit pages of handwritten notes or homework
  • Share photos of a signed form, contract or ID card
  • Upload documents to portals that accept only PDF

It also avoids the "can't open this file" problem on Windows, because PDFs open everywhere.

How do I convert HEIC photos to PDF step by step?

  1. Open HEIC to PDF in Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
  2. Drag your HEIC photos onto the box, or tap to choose them from your Photos library or Files.
  3. Use the ↑ and ↓ arrows to set the page order. Remove any photo with ✕.
  4. Choose the Page size: A4, US Letter or Same as photo.
  5. Tick White margin for a cleaner document look.
  6. Set Photo quality; lower it if the PDF needs to be small enough for email.
  7. Press Make PDF. The PDF downloads when all pages are added.

You can also add JPG and PNG photos to the same PDF.

How do I do it directly on the iPhone?

Open the tool in Safari on your iPhone, tap the box and choose Photo Library. Select your pictures, make the PDF, and Safari saves it to the Files app (usually in Downloads). From there you can email it, share it to WhatsApp or upload it to a form.

Which page size should I pick?

Choose A4 for documents in most of the world, US Letter in the US and Canada, and Same as photo when you're making a photo album or sharing pictures rather than documents. With A4 or Letter, portrait photos get portrait pages and landscape photos get landscape pages automatically, so nothing is squeezed. The white margin keeps text away from the edge, which helps if someone prints the PDF.

Can I add the PDF to an existing document?

Yes. Make the PDF of your photos first, then combine it with any other PDF using Merge PDF. You choose the order of the files before merging, so you can put the photos at the start, the end or in between.

Tips for photographing documents

  • Use daylight and avoid the flash, which leaves a bright glare.
  • Hold the phone straight above the page so the text isn't slanted.
  • Photograph each page separately and check it's in focus.
  • Clean the camera lens; a smudge makes everything look hazy.

The PDF is too big. What can I do?

iPhone photos are 12 to 48 megapixels, which makes big PDFs. To shrink it:

  • Lower Photo quality to around 70 before pressing Make PDF.
  • Or convert the photos to JPG first with HEIC to JPG, shrink them with Compress Image, then make the PDF from the JPGs with Image to PDF.

Troubleshooting

  • "This HEIC variant can't be decoded": rare HEIC types from some apps aren't supported. Export the photo as JPG from your Photos app and add that instead.
  • Live Photos: only the main still image goes into the PDF.
  • Very slow on an older phone: large HEIC photos need lots of memory. Convert a few at a time.

Is it safe?

Yes. The HEIC decoder and the PDF builder run inside your browser. Your photos are never uploaded, so personal documents stay private.

Ready? Open HEIC to PDF. For single JPGs instead, see how to convert HEIC to JPG, and for mixed image types read how to convert images to PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Can I convert several HEIC photos into one PDF?

Yes. Add them all, put them in order with the arrows and press Make PDF. Each photo becomes one page.

Does it work on Windows without a HEIC codec?

Yes. The decoder runs inside the web page, so Chrome, Edge or Firefox on Windows can convert HEIC without installing anything.

Can I mix HEIC with JPG and PNG?

Yes. JPG and PNG photos can be added to the same PDF alongside HEIC photos.
