How to boost the bass in a song

Quick answer: To boost the bass in a song, add your song, pick Bass boost, tune it while it plays and download.

  1. Add your song. Drop an MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG or FLAC file.
  2. Pick Bass boost. It adds +8 dB below about 100 Hz and lowers the volume slightly to leave headroom.
  3. Tune it while it plays. Raise or lower Bass boost; if it gets muddy, lower the Volume slider a little.
  4. Download. Choose MP3 or WAV and press Download.

How much bass boost is too much?

+4 to +8 dB is a strong but clean boost on most songs. Above +10 dB, small speakers and phone speakers can't reproduce it and simply sound distorted, so check on the speakers you'll actually use.

Why is there a limiter?

Boosting the low end makes the waveform bigger, and peaks that go past full scale clip and crackle. The limiter gently turns down only those peaks, so the song stays loud without distortion.

Frequently asked questions

Does bass boost work on phone speakers?

Only partly: tiny speakers can't play deep bass. A moderate boost (+4 to +6 dB) helps the most; for big boosts use headphones or a speaker with a woofer.

Is it free?

Listening is free: you can add a song, try every setting and listen in the page at no cost. Downloading the finished file needs a monthly plan (unlimited downloads) or a one-time 24-hour pass.

Is my song uploaded?

No. The audio is decoded and processed by your own browser with the Web Audio API. The file never leaves your device.

Can I post the result on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube?

Only if you have the rights. Editing a song doesn't make it yours: use your own music, royalty-free tracks or songs you have permission to remix, and follow each platform's music rules. For personal listening, it's yours to enjoy.
